Feline AMH Testing for Spay Status
Feline AMH Testing for Spay Status
Ansh Labs is thrilled to announce that our AMH assay was used in a novel article published in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medicine Association (JAVMA)
Anti-Müllerian hormone and inhibin-B concentrations vary cyclically in nonovulating queens within reference ranges established for determining gonadal status in cats
In a first-of-its-kind study, researchers have determined Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) expected values for cyclic queen felines. The study also confirms that extremely low AMH concentrations are indicative of ovariohysterectomized queens (spayed cats) thus an AMH measurement will establish spay status in cats where surgical scars are not visibly apparent or if no medical records are available.
The Ansh Labs Canine AMH ELISA (AL-116) kit was validated and used for feline samples for this study. We will soon rename it to Canine/Feline AMH ELISA (AL-116).
