Description
After this session, participants will be able to: 1) describe the latest advances in endocrine testing for disease prevention and management of chronic disorders; 2) associate endocrine testing research with the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine; and 3) integrate state of the art knowledge of endocrine tests into the roles and responsibilities of the clinical laboratory professional.
Methodology
Scientific abstracts are an important mechanism to broadly communicate the latest developments in clinical laboratory research to attendees of the Annual Meeting. Results from participant evaluations and Annual Meeting Task Forces have indicated that increased focus on cutting edge research is an important addition to the program content. Members of the meeting organizing committee will select the highest quality and most relevant abstracts for oral presentation in the area of Endocrinology in Preventive and Chronic Care. Members need education on advances in endocrine testing for disease prevention and management of chronic disorders in order to associate endocrine testing research with the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine. and integrate new knowledge of endocrine tests into their daily roles and responsibilities as clinical laboratory professionals.
